About Lagos State TESCOM Recruitment

The Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) is responsible for hiring qualified teachers into public secondary schools in Lagos. Their goal is to ensure that students across all districts receive quality education from well-trained professionals.

Lagos State TESCOM Recruitment 2025 — When and Where to Apply

The TESCOM recruitment portal officially opened on 1st July 2025 and will close on 14th July 2025. That gives all interested applicants a two-week window to register and complete their submissions.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Requirements)

Before applying, make sure you meet the basic requirements set by TESCOM. Applications from ineligible candidates may be disqualified automatically.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• B.Ed., B.Sc Ed., or B.A Ed.
• B.Sc or B.A + PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education)
• NCE + a university degree
• HND or B.Tech + Teacher Training Certificate (TTC); PGDE is an added advantage

Other Key Requirements

• 5 credit passes in O’Level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), including English and Maths (max. 2 sittings)
• NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate
• Valid ID card: National ID, voter’s card, passport, or driver’s license
• Proof of Lagos State residency (LASRRA ID preferred)
• TRCN registration is a bonus
• Applicants must be 35 years old or younger (as of January 2025)
• Only original certificates accepted (no statements of result)

The recruitment is for Grade Level 08 positions. You can choose your subject area during registration.

Available Roles Include:

• Education Officer II
• Higher Instructor

Subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Civic Education, Government, Computer Science, and others.

2. Create an account using a valid email (Yahoo Mail works best)
3. Log in and complete your personal and academic details
4. Select your teaching subject and preferred role
5. Upload the following documents:
   • Passport photo
   • O’Level result
   • NYSC certificate
   • Academic/professional certificates
   • Valid ID
   • TRCN certificate (optional)
6. Review your application and click submit
7. Print or save the confirmation slip

What to Expect After Applying

Once the portal closes:

• Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via email or SMS
• A Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted
• Successful candidates will be invited for interviews and document screening
